Cluj-Napoca, May 6, 2026 – BraveX Aero, a Romanian manufacturer of long-range drones for security, defense, monitoring, and civil intervention, announces a series of major achievements marking a turning point in the company’s development.
BraveX Aero has successfully completed the development and validation of the Vimana Jet models – the first Romanian drone with jet propulsion, capable of reaching speeds up to 500 km/h, with a flight time of 40 min at a cruise speed of 250 km/h. The two models, with slightly different parameters, can be used as target drones for calibrating defense systems and as interceptor drones.
Vimana Jet represents a significant technological leap for the Romanian aeronautics industry and confirms BraveX Aero’s ability to design and manufacture high-performance aerial platforms within the European Union.
Recently, the company completed the delivery of drones under a contract signed last autumn, confirming the company’s R&D, production, and large-scale delivery operational capacity.
Representing the most important project completed by BraveX Aero to date, this consolidates the company’s position as a viable supplier for institutional clients in the European security sector, leading in the last three months to the signing of other contracts, both B2B and B2G.
To meet growing demand and scale production capacity, BraveX Aero is currently conducting a funding round.
Funds will be allocated to expanding production capacity, accelerating sales in European markets, and completing the VTOL model by the end of 2026.
BraveX Aero will participate as an exhibitor at Black Sea Defense, Aerospace and Security International Exhibition (BSDA), the most important defense and security event in the western Black Sea region. Visitors are invited to talk with the BraveX Aero team and discuss partnership and collaboration opportunities at the company’s stand, D662.
